Ta Lak Kia Cafe - Bangkok Design Week 2020

Overview

ARN Creative Studio designed the brand identity and visual system for Ta Lak Kia Cafe — a cafe activation for Bangkok Design Week 2020 in the Charoenkrung district, presented in partnership with the Creative Economy Agency (CEA) and TCDC. The brief celebrated the heritage of one of Bangkok's most historic neighbourhoods.

Approach

Our design drew from the era when Charoenkrung was Bangkok's commercial gateway — translating signage, type, and pattern from Chinese-Thai trading streets into a contemporary cafe identity. The system flexed across menus, signage, packaging, and event-week communication.
